Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo Review

If you’re familiar with Tresemme products, you probably know that they have a lot of stuff worth buying, at pretty good prices. However, I don’t know if I’m the only one saying this, but I’ve tried some Tresemme products that didn’t impress me that much, on the contrary. But I’ll talk about this in another post.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo ReviewNow, let’s get back to our story and talk about this great shampoo, which is on my list of “Must try” hair care products. I love so many things about it that I would always recommend it, especially to people who are fans of  keratin treatments. Believe me, this is a much easier alternative if you’re doing the treatment in order to repair your damaged hair.

Anyway, in this Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo Review I want to show you what I liked and what I did not like about this product, so that you can fully understand if it’s worth buying or not. After all, it’s up to you to decide, tastes are so different and what I found so useful you might not like that much. So let’s begin. 🙂

Say goodbye to frizzy hair

Tresemme’s Keratin Infusing Shampoo is specially designed to smooth frizzy hair and give it that silky look we see in ads. The company claims that the Natural Keratin Complex also repairs damaged or bleached hair, making it soft and easy to brush and style.

Frizzy hairAs some of you might know, keratin is a very important protein found in our hair, that is responsible for silky, smooth hair. In other words, if your hair is always frizzy and hard to tame, keratin may be in a smaller quantity than normal.

If this is your case, then a keratin based shampoo would be the best thing you could choose for your hair. The protein complex will enter your hair follicles and repair the damaged parts, but also protect the follicles’s external structure, preventing your hair from getting frizzy.

Once you get rid of the frizziness, your hair will feel really soft and smooth, so you’ll be able to style it however you want, without fearing it may get harsh.

Also, these characteristics make Tresemme Keratin Infusing Shampoo a great candidate when it comes to keratin treatment maintenance products. But that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about now.

Excellent choice after a keratin treatment

I know keratin straightening treatments have been very popular in the last years, so for those of you who are faithful customers of the procedure, this product is the best alternative for a maintenance shampoo.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo ReviewYou probably know that a maintenance shampoo is necessary in order to keep hair repaired, strong, shiny and straight. These 4 are the most common things a maintenance shampoo takes care of, once you finished the salon treatment. And surprisingly or not, Tresemme’s shampoo makes sure to check each of these 4 requirements.

You probably also know that these salon shampoos tend to have a much higher price, either because they’re professional or because you can only buy them from a salon. This would make the total cost much bigger, and there isn’t too much you can do about it because the maintenance shampoo is really necessary.

Cheaper option for a maintenance shampoo

But here comes the most interesting part. This new Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo from Tresemme is designed especially for this purpose, to maintain the keratin treatment’s effects.

Though in theory it’s not a professional brand shampoo (like the ones sold in beauty salons) , that’s impossible to notice, because it has the exact same effect. Hair remains straight, glossy and also healthy, which is exactly what a common maintenance shampoo does.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo Review

This is how my hair looks like after a keratin treatment. The picture from the right is 2 weeks after the initial treatment. Meanwhile I’ve been using Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing both shampoo and conditioner, and also Suave Hair Mask for extra shine (you can click on it to see the review).

Even so, there is a huge difference between Tresemme’s shampoo and a salon one, and that is… the price. I can’t say for sure what is the average price for a salon keratin maintenance shampoo, but as far as I’ve seen, there aren’t too many under $40. And if you think that you should also get the conditioner… Your total cost, only for the maintenance of the treatment, would be somewhere around $65, and that in the best case.

And if you take a look at Tresemme’s Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo, you can see that it only costs $14.60. Now tell me this is not more than you could ever dream of. In case you’re curious, there is also a conditioner from the same brand, which you use together with the shampoo for an extra effect.

If you buy them together, they will give you a discount, so you’ll only pay… $14.79, for both, not for each. This would be only a few cents more than the shampoo’s price. Honestly, this is more than affordable…

In case you’re not sure that it’s suitable after a keratin treatment, you can check the indications on the internet or on the back of the product.

Believe me, every time I’ll get a keratin treatment I won’t spend my money on expensive maintenance products as long as I can get the same effects using stuff that has more than half of the price. There’s no point doing that. Of course that your hairstylist will recommend you buying his products, but who wouldn’t do so? After all, he gets something if you buy from him.

Whether you try this shampoo or not is up to you, just remember that if you ever need a great and cheaper alternative to salon products, there is Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo. 🙂

Straighter, silky hair even without keratin treatment

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo Review

This is how my friend’s hair looks like after using Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo, without any keratin treatment before. You can see it looks pretty shiny and healthy.

This is also an option, especially for those who aren’t huge fans of keratin treatments, from various reasons. One of the most common uses of Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo is that it tames frizzy hair and makes it extremely soft and shiny. And straighter, of course. These effects are obviously thanks to keratin complex, whose role is probably widely known nowadays.

When it comes to straight hair, this shampoo will definitely have an important contribution at straightening your normal hair, but even so, don’t expect it to do miracles if you have curly hair. Try to use the flat iron to get the desired results for curly hair, especially because the keratin complex will protect your hair from damage, so there’s nothing to worry about.

The good news is that it also works great on bleached hair, maintaining the color for a longer period. So there’s nothing to worry about, if you have colored hair. On the contrary, it will nourish it and prevent it from getting tangles or split ends. To me it sounds quite like a good investment…

As a conclusion

I’m a huge fan of Tresemme Keratin Smooth Infususing Shampoo, especially after keratin treatments because it makes my hair remain straight and shiny for such a long time. As a curly haired I can’t say I use it very often on my normal hair, only when I want to straighten it (even without having a keratin treatment), because this product definitely makes a difference on straight hair.

But if your hair is naturally straight and you don’t want to damage it with the flat iron after every wash, this shampoo is excellent for you because it will make your hair as straight as you want without any other styling. And that is surely awesome. 🙂

Anyway, I’ve done a list with some pros and cons, trying to summarize what I’ve been writing in all those lines from above.

  • Great and cheap option for a keratin treatment maintenance shampoo
  • You can use it after a keratin treatment to keep hair straight and smooth
  • Tames frizzy hair
  • Keeps color in bleached hair
  • Has a normal white consistency and a nice smell
  • Partially straightens normal hair (without any keratin treatment)
  • Very good price

  • Doesn’t have too much effect on straightening curly hair by itself, without using the flat iron
  • The ingredients aren’t all organic

In case you’re interested in purchasing these products or if you simply want to see more official things about them, Amazon is probably the best place to do this. There are a lot of details and also, other people’s opinions on how useful it was for them.

I always buy my Tresemme products from Amazon because I’ve noticed they have the best prices, and I’m quite comfortable with using it. I’ll show you which are my picks, because they have several offers at these type of Tresemme shampoos and conditioners on Amazon.

The first ones are the shampoo and conditioner together at a great price (just $14.79), the next one is the special maintenance shampoo, followed by the special serum and the last one is a protection spray, that smooths frizzy hair before straightening.

So if you’re interested, click on them to see more. 😉

I really hope you enjoyed reading my review and that you found it quite useful. Anyway, if you have any questions about Tresemme Keratin Shampoos or Conditioners, please leave a comment below. I’m really curious if you’ve tried any of them or if you’d like to. 🙂

Ryeo/Ryoe Shampoo Review – The new hair care breakthrough?

Ryoe or Ryeo is a rather new hair care brand on the American market, and as I’ve heard a lot about it while researching for natural products, I said I’d give it a try. So here’s my Ryeo/Ryoe Shampoo Review 😀

Ryeo/Reyo shampoo reviewRyeo/Ryoe produces 5 kinds of shampoos and conditioners, each designed for a certain hair type/problem. Actually there are more than 5, but these are the ones available on Amazon. There are these 5:

  • Anti Hairloss and Damaged hair (Red)
  • Oily hair and Dandruff (Green)
  • Sensitive Scalp and Strenghtening (Purple)
  • More Volume (Orange)
  • Vitality and Nutrition (Pink)

As you can see, some of them are made for several hair types/problems.

We will take a look at each to see what exactly it’s recommended for, but before this, I will show you the link where you can find official information about these shampoos and get some important discounts.

Ryoe/Ryeo Shampoo Anti Hair loss and Damaged hair

  • Ryeo shampoo reviewRyeo shampoo reviewBased on natural proteins, that strengthen the hair follicles and treat the damaged hair

  • I’ve noticed that it also prevents split ends, but you have to take care what styling tools you use (Check my post 7 hair straighteners that don’t damage hair)
  • The Hambit extract makes the hair quite silky
  • Manages to deeply nourish dry hair
  • Reduces the hair loss after several uses
  • Very nice fresh herbal scent
  • You can associate it with the Conditioner and the Treatment from the same brand, as they have a faster effect together
  • The price isn’t very small, but not very high either
  • You get a discount if you also buy the conditioner or treatment
  • The best price is on Amazon

Ryoe/Ryeo Shampoo for Oily Hair and Dandruff

  • Ryeo shampoo reviewControls sebum secretion, deeply cleansing your hair
  • Successfully treats greasy hair, preventing it from getting oily for the next days (My post Causes for oily hair talks more about the reasons for greasy hair)
  • Also works great for dandruff, managing to reduce it from the first days of use
  • In case you have any other scalp problems, like itching or psoriasis, you can use it as well, without fearing that it could worsen them, on the contrary
  • You can also try the conditioner for the same hair type
  • The smell is pretty nice, though a bit unusual
  • The price is quite affordable, I would say
  • On Amazon you can also buy two bottles or the shampoo and the conditioner, all for a better price

Ryoe/Ryeo Shampoo for Sensitive Scalp, Hair loss and Hair Strenghtening

  • Ryeo shampoo reviewTreats the hair loss caused by stress, scalp irritations, weakened roots or nutritional imbalance
  • Successfully stops scalp problems, especially the irritations
  • The Ginger and Green Tea offer additional protection to the weaker hair roots
  • Also offers more shine to the hair, because of the nourishing proprieties
  • Based on natural ingredients, like Biota Seeds, Skullcap and Licorice
  • The 3rd generation, so the formula is quite improved compared to the last one
  • You can also find the conditioner on Amazon, for even better results
  • The price/quantity ratio is pretty good

Ryoe/Ryeo Shampoo for More Volume

  • Ryeo Shampoo ReviewGreat for people with fine, silky hair, that has no volume
  • The Biotite (fermentated bean) roots and the aminoacids complex lift up hair roots, giving your hair a lot more volume (up to 2.5 times more)
  • The Ginseng extract also protects the hair roots, making them stronger
  • If you want even more volume, you can associate it with the conditioner of the same color
  • The price is quite affordable, (at least that’s what it seems to me) if you buy it from Amazon

Ryoe/Ryoe Shampoo for Vitality and Nutrition

  • Ryeo Shampoo ReviewDesigned for hair that is dry from perm or any other heat damage
  • Based on 6 flower and plant extracts, including Lotus and Dolwoe
  • Deeply moisturizes and nourishes dry hair
  • Fresh scent, different from the other ones
  • The Vitality and Nutrition series also include a conditioner, treatment and an essence
  • The price is quite reasonable, though you can only find the shampoo and the conditioner on Amazon, the treatment and the essence aren’t available

I’ve found an original ad on You Tube, unfortunately it’s in Korean so I don’t really understand the title and the words, but in case you want to see it here it is. 🙂

It’s about the purple shampoo, and it seems quite interesting, even though I don’t believe that any shampoo or beauty product could ever make your hair look like that, no matter how natural it would be.

Now let me tell you my impressions about Ryoe/Ryeo Shampoos in general, without going into any specific details. In case you’re interested in buying any of their products, you might want to check these. 🙂

  • They have a different way of making hair care products, combining the herbs with the usual shampoo/conditioner ingredients
  • The ingredients are organic, so you won’t get any bad surprises (scalp itching)
  • The product range is quite wide, so it’s hard not to find something that suits you
  • All of the shampoo do what they promise, treat dandruff, hair loss, oily hair and others
  • There are also conditioners and treatments for each series, so you can combine all these for a better effect
  • Most have a herbal, ginseng scent, except the Nutritive one, who smells rather like flowers
  • The quantity is 16.9 oz (500 ml) for most
  • The prices aren’t extremely high, they’re rather quite affordable

  • They’re Korean products, so they’re not found in every beauty shop from America or Europe
  • In fact, on our market you can only get them from Amazon (as far as I know)
  • There’s no big difference between the smells of each, so you might get bored of the same one
  • Plus, the scent isn’t very resistant, it only lasts a few times after the wash

So, in case you want to find out more about this brand and its products, you can check it here on Amazon.

To sum things up, these new Ryeo/Ryoe Shampoos could be considered the next hair care breakthrough, mainly because of their natural ingredients, great effect and good price. I can actually see them taking off on our market this year, so you might want to give them a try.

Have you tried any shampoo from Ryoe/Ryeo? If you haven’t, would you give it a try? I’m really curious to hear your opinion. 😀
